Scrapbook Circle November Kit - Harvest Moon

October 29, 2012

It's that time again - the November Scrapbook Circle kit is now on sale HERE. This kit was right up my alley. I adore Fall, so the dark woodgrain and bold colors (teal, plum, gold) were just perfect.

My new favorite page. Check the Scrapbook Circle blog on Friday for details about how I made this page.

This next page - I just can't get over how close these 2 are. Zoe and her Great-Grandpa Morgan are like kindred souls, they just connect so well and I love watching them together. I'm so glad Zoe is able to spend time with them, get to know them and befriend them. I think it's one of the most special things I've ever seen.
This was from apple picking this year. Grandpa had a special bucket with her name on it, and a special little ladder just for her. I hope when she grows up, she realizes how lucky she is to have gotten to know him.

I unknowingly started a tradition with Zoe. Every winter, I buy her a new hat. It started when she was a baby and I bought this adorable knit hat from Gymboree with cupcakes on it. The next year it was fair isle, the year after that it was snowflakes. This year - Polka Dots!

Thankfully before the big storm I was able to capture Zoe playing in the leaves. She had a good time throwing leaves at me while I was taking her picture.

And last of all, I made this card for my mom. I needed to mail her something and thought a handmade card would be a nice touch.

I still have a TON of product left over. I'm hoping to add to my projects over the month of November, especially around Turkey Day :)

October 27, 2012

Lately, I've been busier than I prefer to be.
Everything from Dr. appts to scrapbooking assignments to laundry to exercising...
the list seems to go on and on.
But I'm grateful that for the most part - we are all doing well.

Zoe has been enjoying the snow, and her new winter hat. I found her sleeping in it the other night. We spent Thursday sledding, making snow angels, throwing snow balls, playing with friends etc.

We got a jump start on the Halloween celebrations last night. Zoe's school held a carnival, full of fun games and treats.
Zoe got all dressed up and I even put make-up on her to make her "sparkle".
She had tons of fun and they even had a photo booth (pictures to come)

Cinderella - Halloween 2012

Her original costume was Tinkerbell, however, when I sewed it together, it was not exactly cute (even though I followed the pattern correctly) While we were in Utah a few week ago, we happened upon Little Adventures end of the season sale and snagged this beauty for $5. Zoe's costume last year was also made by Little Adventures - their dress-ups/costumes are awesome!

Lindsay Family

October 25, 2012

Yesterday, before the massive amount of snow arrived, I was able to spend some time with this adorable family. I wanted to share just a few of my favorites :)

We got rather lucky with the weather. This morning there was 6+ inches of snow on the ground. We spent all day playing in the snow and then coming inside and cuddling, watching movies.

Check back tomorrow for a scrappy post!

Scrapbook Circle November Sneaks!

October 22, 2012

I am SO in love with November's kit. It is PACKED full of brand new stuff! And if you are new to this blog - I have a slight obsession with Fall, so this kit is right up my alley.

So far I've only gotten a chance to make 2 pages and a card, but there is plenty left over for the rest of my projects.

Here's a couple sneaks to tease you.

My Silhouette is getting quite the workout this month - but I'm loving my pages! I did add a little bit of American Crafts new jute string - just $1.00 a spool. I love that stuff!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Scrapbook Circle October Kit - Newsflash

October 16, 2012

When I saw the preview for this kit, I was a little unsure about all the muted colors and graphic prints. I typically prefer bolder colors, but all my layouts came together so quickly.

This first page features my bff, Jamie's, adorable boys. These pictures are from their family session back in August. I can not get over how grown up they are. Jamie and I met back with E (left) was just a few weeks old. We've only been friends about 5 years, but it feels like they have always been a part of our lives.

I'll be sharing how to make this word art on the Scrapbook Circle blog in the next few weeks so make sure you are stopping by regularly.

I've been trying to be better about taking pictures of this little girl - she is also growing up too fast. She looks 6 or 7 in this picture, even though she's only 4. I focused on using the Pink Paislee ephemera in the kit. I really love die cut packs, I find they are so versatile and you get a lot of bang for your buck.

I loved this Dear Lizzy sticker, it reads " You bring so much love to my life." And while a toddler also brings a lot of other things, Love is definitely the best and most important one. Lately, with the trial of infertility, I've been trying so hard to focus on Zoe and all the wonderful things being 4 has in store for her.

Zoe was the one who first made me a Mother, and that is the most amazing gift.

This last page is full of instagram memories from this summer. I realized I don't use my instagram photos enough. I cut out the title using my Silhouette SD and the Bebas font.

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure to visit Scrapbook Circle to see what the other DT ladies did with their kits!

Halloween is Coming

October 15, 2012

Goodness time flies....I've got lots of projects to share, that is one benefit of a blog absence. These first pages I made using Pretty Little Studio goodies, but forgot to share them.

Did I mention Melissa has a new Christmas line available for pre-order now?

You can place your order HERE. PS. for today only, use the code PRANCER for 20% off!

This next project is quilting inspired. I had so many cute Halloween papers I wanted to use on this page; I found a way to incorporate all of them.

I used my 2 inch square punch, then cut them into triangles. I rearranged them and glued them all down. Then I added stitching on all the diagonal lines. A tutorial for this will be coming soon. It was a lot of work, and took several hours and a few episodes of Revenge, but I love the way it turned out. A great way to use a 6x6 or 8x8 paper pad.

I got my October Afternoon Witch Hazel pieces from Cassie at the Paper Issues Shop. You can get 20% off any order using code HOLLYH - Oh, and if you are looking for the loose sheets, just send Cassie a message, she has lots.

Come back tomorrow to see my Scrapbook Circle October layouts.
